Can I place a Cash on Delivery (COD) order on Sanskriti Cuttack?

Yes. You can place a Cash on Delivery (COD) order on Sanskriti Cuttack for shipping within India.

Please note, however, that,

  • COD is available to most, but not all, Indian cities. If it is unavailable to your location, you will be asked to change the shipping address or change the payment method during checkout.
  • COD payment option is not available for Fabrics. Please do not select COD payment option while ordering fabrics as these orders will be canceled automatically.
  • The minimum order value for COD orders is Rs 1,000.
Can I pay through Cards or Netbanking?

Yes. You can.

Customers in India can pay through their Visa/ Mastercard Debit and Credit cards or use Netbanking.

Overseas Customers can also pay through their Visa/ Mastercard Credit Cards.

Please note that all checkouts take place in Indian Rupee. If your are ordering from outside India & your card is in another currency, it will automatically convert the rupee amount into your currency at prevailing exchange rates.

Sometimes you may need to try more than once for the payment to go through. Please be assured that you will be charged only once. If, in an unlikely scenario, the payment is debited twice, it will be automatically credited back to your account. You can speak to your bank for assistance on this. I have tried several times trying to pay for my order with my credit card but the payment is not going through. What could be the reason?

This is a common issue with online payments, especially with international payments. We understand this can be very frustrating.

If you have an Indian card, the payment usually does go through in a couple of attempts, if it fails in the first attempt. Sometimes, the transactions are declined because of payment authentication failure. So please ensure that you are providing the right credentials in terms of OTPs or passwords.

The incidence of payment failure is more common in international payments. If your card is issued outside India and if after multiple attempts, you payment still does not go through, we recommend trying with an alternative card. If that is not an option, we recommend selecting the PayPal Account Transfer from the payment methods. In this mode, your order is placed without an upfront payment. Once you place your order, we will send you a PayPal Invoice in USD, at the prevailing exchange rate net of currency conversion costs, at your email id within the next 24 hours. Once you receive the same, you can pay it with any of your credit cards or your PayPal account, if you have one. Because the invoice will be in USD, paying it with your international card will be easier and the transaction will go through. Once you pay the PayPal invoice, we shall process your order within the next 48 hours. You will receive dispatch details through email and SMS.

Do you accept PayPal payments?

Yes, we do.
Currently this payment option is only meant for customers outside India who prefer to pay in USD. To pay with your PayPal account, please select Paypal Account Transfer from the payment options during checkout.

Please note that due to technical limitations PayPal Express Checkout is not available on Sanskriti Cuttack. We use a manual mode where your order is placed without any upfront payment if you select this payment option. After you place your order, we will send you a PayPal Invoice in USD at the email id provided by you within 24 hours. You can view the USD prices of the products by selecting USD from the currency selector. The exchange rate used for USD pricing is net of PayPal currency conversion costs plus 5% tax as per PayPal Deduction.

Once you receive the PayPal invoice, we suggest paying the same at your earliest convenience. Once paid for, we shall process your order within two business days. You will receive dispatch details through email.

Can I pay in my home currency, or any other currency than the Indian Rupee?

You can browse the website in some of the leading currencies of the world. Just select the currency from the currency selector at the top bar on desktops, and at the bottom of the menu button on mobiles. Please note, however, that the checkout only happens in Indian Rupee. But, you do not need to worry about this. Your international credit card is capable of processing payments in multiple currencies at the prevailing exchange rates.

Alternatively, to pay in USD, you can use the PayPal Account Transfer payment option. Read the previous faq to know more about this option.

I was taken to some other website for the payment. Is it safe?

Once you Select Cards and Net banking on the payment page during checkout and proceed to the next step, you will be taken to our payment gateway partner site, Razor pay to complete the payment. It is completely safe and all payments are processed over a secure server.

If I place an order, how many days will it take to deliver the product? And is Shipping free?

As all our products are inhouse, we are very prompt with shipping. In most cases we ship the orders within two business days. If you have opted for tassels on sarees, please allow 3-4 business days for shipping.

Once shipped, it usually takes 4-6 business days to most countries and most cities in India.

We only use express shipping. However, we do not offer guaranteed delivery time.

If you have provided your email during checkout, we will also be sending you a shipping confirmation email with the tracking link so that you can track your shipment and also co-ordinate delivery with our logistics partners.

Free Shipping is available in India on purchase of 30000 or More.

Do you offer International Shipping?

Yes, we do.

International shipping is available to most countries worldwide. Currently, we use DHL and EMS (Indian Postal Service) for international shipments which is super-fast and reliable. Once shipped, it usually take 4-8 business days to deliver to most countries.

We will also be sending you a tracking link so that you can track your shipment and also co-ordinate delivery with our logistics partners.

What are the shipping charges?

We offer shipping charges are a nominal Rs 150 per orderPan India, irrespective of the order quantity, for most locations in India. Additional shipping charges, however, may apply for some remote locations in India or if Express shipping asked by the Customer.

For delivery address outside India, a flat rate is charged to the total price of products. The estimated delivery time for international orders is 7-10 business days. All the tax/custom duties are to be paid by the customer. You can save significantly on shipping costs by placing one smart order of two sarees instead of two orders of one saree each.

If you are unable to find a product, it is probably because the product is sold out and has been removed from the collections. Given the nature of handloom production, we find it difficult to comment on whether or when sold out products will be available again. We request you to only choose from available designs.

I like a saree from your collection. What is the material?

We have provided the fabric details of all the sarees in the Product Details section below the product images. We strongly recommend to read the product details before placing your order to make an informed decision.

Do you stitch blouses?

Do the sarees come with a blouse piece?

Most of the sarees on Sanskriti Cuttack come with a matching un-stitched blouse piece. The blouse piece can be found woven either after the pallu end or at the other end of the saree. The last product image usually shows a snapshot of the blouse piece.

Can I return/ exchange the product if I do not like it?

Please note that since our products are handwoven, we only have one of each kind at a time. Also, as the fabrics are pure and the weaves delicate, each garment requires very careful handling. Hence, we are able to offer returns and exchanges only in extreme circumstances.

Returns or exchanges will only be accepted in the case of a manufacturing defect or dispatch of incorrect item. Only unstitched garments (saris, stoles and dupattas) are eligible for return or exchange. Sari blouse pieces cannot be exchanged or returned.
